Thurz – “F*ck The Police” | Music Video

Formerly of independent West Coast outfit U-N-I, THURZ‘s promise within a group may have failed to reach its potential, but the solo path has proved to be more than fruitful. Having traded in a cheerful Californian outlook with his U-N-I badge for a dedication to address the state’s dark underbelly, THURZ released L.A. Riot last year, which instantly entered discussions for best independent release of the year.

Today for his latest output, the Left Coast emcee revisits his acclaimed album to give the “F*ck The Police” cut a supporting set of visuals – a few days prior to the 20th anniversary of the 1992 L.A. riots. Directed by Super Official, the footage doesn’t rely on glitz and glamour to enunciate its message; simply THURZ, the Los Angeles streets and a black and white filter as the Rage Against The Machine-esque instrumental serves its purpose in the backdrop.

L.A. Riot features appearances from Black Thought, BJ The Chicago Kid, Strong Arm Steady and more. Download it for free here.
