Rachel Crow – ‘Mean Girls’ | Music Video

Since making an impression as a finalist on last year’s X Factor (USA), 14-year-old Rachel Crow was snapped up by Columbia Records and also landed a TV deal with Nickelodeon.

After guesting on a few episodes of Fred: The Show in April, the young startlet is now making her music debut with the official video (not to be confused with this one) for her debut single “Mean Girls.” The song is taken from Rachel’s recently-released, self-titled EP and tackles the subject of bullying.

Speaking with Celebuzz about the single, Crow said:

“[‘Mean Girls’] is really important to me, because everybody deals with mean girls, whether you’re a guy or a girl. And I didn’t want to reach to just the bullied, but the bullies as well. I want it to be an inspiration to everyone, because I want them to be like, ‘I don’t want to be who she’s talking about in that song, they sound horrible.’ … That was the whole point behind it.”
