Mondays can be hard, but do not fret, that real Hip-Hop is here to help. To get you through the day, and surely further, hall of famers Diamond D and Pharoahe Monch drop off the visual for their collaborative effort “Rap Life.”

Behind a backdrop of the life of a rapper – specifically our two protagonists – Monch presents a few typically ill verses, while Diamond D holds the fort down on the ones-and-twos. “Rap Life” stands up front as Diamond D’s lead single for his upcoming compilation album The Diam Piece, which is set to include such heavyweights as Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, Camp Lo, Hi-Tek, Alchemist and Nottz just to name a few.

The lineup for The Diam Piece is jaw dropping, but until Diamond D announces a release date, we’ll have to make do with the video for “Rap Life” up top. No problem at all.

Diamond D & Pharoahe Monch’s “Rap Life” is available on iTunes right now.
