Nelly Furtado – ‘Spirit Indestructible’ | Music Video

Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado follows up her comeback track “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)” with the second single to be taken from her upcoming studio album. Bringing nature into her visuals, the singer takes a journey to the top of some snow covered mountains and to the beach in “Spirit Indestructible.”

Singing in the spotlight accompanied by a young boy on the piano, the Grammy award-winning singer pays homage to the spirits above and within. The singer described the song as empowering and as a tribute for all of the indestructible spirits in the world:

This song means a lot of things to me ’cause it does have a spirituality to it and a positivity…It’s meant to be empowering, it’s mean to be a tribute to all of us. We all have indestructible spirits…” The singer explained during the behind-the-scenes clip on the videshoot.

It’s (the video) got an elemental theme. I love nature. I do see this new album as sort of a coming home into the original reason why I make music in the first place, which is to have fun and rejoice.

This new single will appear on the Furtdao’s upcoming album, The Spirit Indestructible, scheduled to be released September 18th – following up from her 2009 release, Mi Plan.
