Kardinal Offishall – “The Invention Of Truth” (starring The Kid Daytona) | Short Film

In support of his current buzz single [See below] and soon-to-be released Nottz produced album A.M.T.R.I.M (Allow Me To Re-Introduced Myself), Canadian Hip Hop vet Kardinal Offishall hooked up with Toronto-based video/film production company Die Fire Films to produce a fictional short film entitled The Invention Of Truth.

The film, one of many to come from the A.M.T.R.I.M project, finds the T.Dot emcee seeking to leave his life of crime but unable to do so with crew capo Jakobi “The Farmer” (Akon’s international tour DJ, Benny Demus) and the rest of his criminal cohort’s (including Bronx emcee The Kid Daytona) minds still looking to the drug game to provide them with the riches they feel the need. Jakobi, the man who seemingly put Kardi on, insists on intimidating the rest the crew wanting to keep them in their place. Canadian R&B vixen Ayah makes a cameo appearance.

Real intelligence is not a degree on the wall, but to what degree you are able to function and retain knowledge in serious situations. The TRUTH of the matter is that many of us fail, when faced with the opportunity to make the best decisions for our lives. This story is about me trying to be my own man. It’s about me trying to elevate and take the next step in life, no matter what my “friends” might say. For me, this is “The Invention of Truth”… – Kardinal Offishall
