Jared Evan f/ Joey Bada$$ – “Black & White” | Music Video

2012_3_1__MG_3534

Taken from his outstanding debut album Boom Bap & Blues, a collaborative effort with producer Statik Selektah, Jared Evan teams up with man-of-the-moment Joey Bada$$ to drop the Rik Cordero directed video “Black & White.”

A joint about telling it straight, as well a joint about how women can sometimes perceive men, the visuals for the track are as monochrome as the title suggests. With the odd blue-tipped single rose on display, which works in conjunction with the album’s black, white, and odd splatter of blue artwork, the video tells the story of a woman scorned.

Joey Bada$$ scrubs up well and seems a little more presentable than his usual just-got-out-of-bed look. The only downside to the video is perhaps the poor excuse of an exploding jeep viewers are witness to towards the end. We’ll just put that down to low budget production costs.

Be on the look out for our review of Boom Bap & Blues, but in the meantime check out the “Black & White” video below.
