Jaden – “The Coolest” | Music Video

Young’uns are seriously coming through on the mic this year. Next up: at the mere age of 14, Jaden Smith brings a little hint of Q-Tip‘s laidback swagger with him as he flows over the Roy Ayers-oozing beat of “The Coolest,” produced by The Stuyvesants.

Known for his film roles in The Pursuit of Happyness [alongside his superstar father Will Smith] and The Karate Kid – and more recently a few musical collaborations with his friend Justin Bieber – Jaden steps forward as a serious Hip Hop artist in his own right with his official debut mixtape, Cooltape Vol. 1: The Cool Café, coming next week.

Taken from his upcoming project, watch the official video for “The Coolest” below as young Jaden spits calmly to camera; the Mike Vargas/Nuyorktricity directed visuals paying subtle homage with a few Fresh Prince style twists.

Jaden’s debut mixtape Cooltape Vol. 1: The Cool Café drops on Monday, October 1st.
