How fitting is it that on the day recognised as a day of prayer and worship for millions of Christians worldwide, we are blessed with some brand new visuals off a mixtape project entitled Cathedral by an emcee called GLC, who’s (second) most recognisable phase (behind “ISM”) happens to be “CHURCH”?

Featuring revered Chi-town emcee Cold Hard (of Crucial Conflict) and directed by Nick Beauregard, “Empty Town” is the latest set of visuals to be liberated from GLC’s collaborative project with production tandem and fellow Chicago natives Blended Babies. The beatsmiths’ roaring trumpets, along with GLC’s sermon and Cold Hard’s gully preaching, are complimented by Mr. Beauregard’s dark visuals, giving the viewer a coldhearted and sober look at Chicago familiar to many locals but that very few outside of Illinois have seen. “And You Say CHI-CITY!!”
