D-WHY – ‘Killa’ | Music Video

If seamlessly hopping from indie pop to East Coast hip-hop isn’t a testament to versatility, I don’t know what is. That’s exactly how burgeoning hip-hop artist outta West Virginia D-WHY is doing it, as he employs Cam’ron‘s 2001 S.D.E. cut “What Means The World To You” as the vehicle for his latest song, following last week’s “Young Mariah“, which reinvented a piece from the catalogue of Grimes.

Accompanying the cover of the Killa Cam classic – aptly titled “Killa” – are the official visuals, which follow D’s cruise around the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, CA down to Hollywood’s beautiful Sunset Boulevard, accompanied by an even more beautiful female, model Jennifer Martinez, who recently made XXL’s 2012 Eye Candy: Hot 100 (yikes). Jakob Owens, Jennifer and D-WHY himself all direct.

Watch the video for “Killa” below and download the mp3 after the jump. D-WHY’s Don’t Flatter Yourself mixtape is coming soon.
