After dropping The Product II earlier this year, August Alsina finally shoots a video for one of the mixtape’s leading tracks, “Let Me Hit That” featuring Curren$y. The song acts as an ode to both women and weed, with the R&B singer – who recently signed to Def Jam – showcasing his versatile vocals alongside Curren$y’s laid-back style of rapping.
The Reece Bros directed visual does little to push boundaries, as we simply see August sneak up on an interpretive dancer in a remote location and proceed to enter the run-down building to smoke with his Jet Life co-star. However, at the end of the video the female performer attempts to tie her dance moves into the double meaning of the lyrics by wrapping herself in a white sheet, almost as if to mimic the rolling of a blunt.
