Not too pleased about the unapproved unveiled of his Good Kid, m.A.A.d City album cover today, West Coast lyricist Kendrick Lamar took to Twitter to voice is his displeasure.

“When u leak my album cover. Know that it’s not a price tag. Its my LIFE. & there’s alot of serious ppl that care about lil Kendrick’s life,” the rapper announced, hours after the artwork began circulating online.

Nonetheless, there’s no holding back the internet [unless you’re Prince, who seems to have an unstoppable digital removal army] and Kendrick followed through reiterating the artwork, which features baby Lamar, inscribed with the words “Good kid mAAd city : A Short Film by Kendrick Lamar.”

Certainly cinematic with his word play, following his stellar projects The Kendrick Lamar EP, Overly Dedicated and Section.80 the anticipation for the Top Dawg’s debut major label album is at an all time high.

Bearing his Dr. Dre assisted lead single “The Recipe,” its follow-up, “Swimming Pools (Drank)” and a collaboration with Lady Gaga, titled “PARTYNAUSEOUS,” Good Kid, m.A.A.d City is set for release on October 22.
