Mister Cee drops throwback Nate Dogg tribute set | Stream/Download

First things first… R.I.P. Nate Dogg.

With March 15th having marked the two year anniversary of the passing of Nate Dogg, real name Nathaniel Hale, Hot 97’s DJ Mister Cee pwho himself has always been a supporter of the west coast music scene even when the rest of New York might not have been] put out a ‘Throwback At Noon’ tribute set to honour the late crooner.

Featuring cuts like “I Got Love,” “21 Questions” (with 50 Cent), and “The Set Up” (with Obie Trice), for those who were more a fan of Nate’s G-Funk classics, Cee also mixed in “St. Ide’s” (with Snoop Dogg), “Never Leave Me Alone,” and “How Long Will They Mourn Me” (with Thug Life).

As one of the originators of G-Funk, Nate Dogg together with Snoop Dogg and Warren G (as 213) became poster children for the new wave of west coast music during the early ’90s and onwards. Unfortunately Nate passed away in 2011 after suffering multiple strokes.
