Mike Skinner unveils “2 Many Whisky Sours” instrumental | New Music

After the release of their last album Computers and Blues, multi-platinum selling British Hip Hop outfit The Street disbanded with lead vocalist Mike Skinner vowing to retire from music altogether and concentrate on writing movie scripts. Well that quickly proved false as he returned with a new musical movement called The D.O.T and it seems as though the hip hop music bug has either bitten the artist again or never left as to the surprise his loyal fanbase Mike took to his Twitter account and tweeted an all new instrumental.

The special drop came a mere few hours after award winning British Hip Hop artist Professor Green, formerly signed to Skinner’s now defunct recording label The Beats, tweeted “I really do want to work with @skinnermike again” to which his former CEO replied “@professorgreen i appreciate the loyalty but i don’t think i’m up to scratch anymore. if i can shift this hangover i’ll post a beat.” Not wanting to let his former running mate down, the former Brixton resident kept by his word and tweeted an all new instrumental, titled “2 Many Whisky Sours.”

Hopefully we’ll hear Pro go in over the beat but until then you guys can download the fruits of Mike Skinner’s labour. Enjoy!
