Method Man: Where I’m From Ep. 3 by Arte.tv x GasFace | Docu-Series


The good folks at Arte.tv and Media Gasface have returned with the third webisode of their docu-series, Where I’m From, which takes a range of individuals that have played their part in the growth of Hip Hop among a plethora of artistic forms, to have them discuss where they are from and what part those areas have played in Hip Hop history.

In this webisode, Legendary emcee Method Man travels back to where he grew up on Staten Island, New York, to reminisces and discuss the true origins of  The Wu-Tang Clan. The Long Island native, who moved to Staten Island at the age of thirteen, reveals when and how he meet soon-to-be fellow Wu-Tang members Raekwon, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Inspectah Deck and Cappadonna as well as the reason why he and his family moved to the Island affectionately dubbed The Shaolin.
