Mario has an excellent voice and has the potential to be truly great. Sadly it’s not being realised with these cheap Chris Brown/Usher cast-off tracks he keeps recording. There were very few male vocalists to emerge last decade who could match his skills and his first album was such good quality especially when you consider the tripe released at the time (and since) and that he was only 15! I keep hoping he’ll record stuff worthy of his talent. Since his first album only the single ‘Let Me Love You’ has done him proper justice. He’s much better than the recording artists on which he’s modelling his career. Unfortunately he’s sidelined as a poor imitation when he’s so much more! He and his record company should quit this R&B lark and concentrate on making him the SOUL man he truly is. He could so carry off a Maxwell vibe if he wanted…
