Lupe Fiasco’s ‘Lasers’ LP to feature Trey Songz + UK rapper Sway

With Lupe Fiasco‘s Lasers LP due for release in March, the Chicago emcee has revealed that the anticipated album will feature special guests R&B eye-feast Trey Songz and respected UK emcee Sway, along with production by The Neptunes.

You may recall Lupe and Sway previously worked together on unreleased track “We Love You,” which hit the web a couple of years ago…

For those unfamiliar with Sway [shame on you], find out a little more in MySpace: The Hook Up’s video of the two emcees interviewing each other [back when the CRS project first became a talking point and Estelle had just started making waves in the US with “American Boy”].

Back to the present… Following up on his debut and sophomore albums Food & Liquor (2006) and The Cool (2007), Lasers is to be Lupe’s third LP – following a series of public disputes with his record label, Atlantic. The album title is an acronym for Love Always Shines, Everytime Remember 2 Smile.

The latest video from Lupe’s forthcoming album – for current single “The Show Goes On,” produced by Kane Beatz – was released on Boxing Day, with the Lasers LP set to drop on March 8th, 2011.
