Lupe Fiasco Q&A at Memphis Music Foundation [Video]

Yesterday Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, better known to the world as Lupe Fiasco, was as guest speaker at the Memphis Music Foundation. Whilst there the ingenious lyricist gave the audience an unreserved insight into how life was for him and his family growing up in the notoriously violent and impoverished West Side of Chicago.

The emcee also opened up about the influence the late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had on him, negativity found in Hip Hop, the lack of power an artist has without an audience as well as revealing explanations as to why he named his debut LP and forthcoming album Food & Liquor and Food & Liquor 2 respectively – later answering questions put to him by members of the audience.
