Lupe Fiasco & L.E.P. Bogus Boys in the studio with J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League | Photos

Okay… so hands up if your first reaction to the title of this post and the picture above was: “HUH!!?”. Well, hat’s exactly what my reaction was but I am a proud self proclaimed Lupe Fiasco stan who has been listening to Wasalu’s music long before his Fahrenheit 1/15 and Food & Liquor days when his bars consisted of topics that had to do with “bussin’ 4 fifths”, “having your n***as pouring liquor out like it’s prohibition“, and “keeping something tucked in like bedtime, that’ll turn foot soldiers into headlines” [see below for a peak into Lupe Fiasco’s “gangsta” music past].

Alas, that Lupe Fiasco is long gone but his love for gangster music birthed in his home city of Chicago still remains as Emperor Lu was recently pictured in the studio with fellow chicagoans L.E.P. Bogus Boys and the heavy sought-after super production team the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League.

With Lupe’s eagerly anticipated mixtape Friend Of The People set to hit the Internets on Thanksgiving and his Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album due for release first quarter next year, thus far there has been no word on whether the Chi-Town natives and the production team worked on music for said projects – however J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League did contribute production work on L.E.P.’s much talked about body of work, Now Or Neva… recording sessions which these photographs may have come from.

But let’s hope and pray they have worked on some music together and that it’ll leak to the Internets be out soon…
