Lupe Fiasco – ‘Bitch Bad’ | New Music
As promised, here we have the second single from Lupe Fiasco‘s highly anticipated forthcoming album, Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album. Entitled “Bitch Bad”, it’s the sonic that strikes you first on this newest delivery, straying from its predecessor “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)” and its sampling of the Old School (probably for the best), instead reverting to contemporary, bass-heavy 808 sequences to soundtrack Lupe’s lyrical sermon.
Just in case you were thinking, “Wait, didn’t you once say ‘I used to hate hip-hop… yup, because the women degraded’, Lupe?”, it should be noted that this song is a satirical effort – a brilliant one at that. A double-disc album, part one of Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album will hit stores on September 25th, with part two following at a later date.
