Lil Wayne to feature on T.I.’s next single “Ball” | Music News

Let’s face it, T.I. ain’t doing too bad with his existing Trouble Man singles, “Like That” and “Love This Life“. But the next teaser for his forthcoming eigth studio album is going to be even bigger, according to producer Rico Love.

The beatmaker (who’s notched credits for such hits like Rick Ross‘”Touch ‘N You” and Trey Songz‘s “Heart Attack” this year alone) revealed to Rap-Up that Tip’s next single will be titled “Ball”, and will feature Lil Wayne – a proven partnership, as witnessed on what was arguably the anthem of 2008, “Swagga Like Us“, which also featured Jay-Z and Kanye West.

The song will lean towards a “bounce” sound, a sub-genre of hip-hop made popular in New Orleans in the early ’90s by artists such as Soulja Slim, Magnolia Shorty and Weezy’s former Hot Boyz running mate Juvenile, and is a guaranteed smash, says Rico.

“I’m not trying to be cocky, but I pretty much know that [‘Ball’ is] gonna be a hit record,” he said. “I know it’s gon’ tear up the club. I’m really confident in the record. I know we got a bonafide club banger with that one.”

T.I.’s “Ball” is expected to premiere in the next few days, with his Trouble Man album scheduled for a September 4th release.
