Laurin Talese – “Dead Precedence” | New Music

Every now and then, you get something in your inbox which you think can wait, and then when you come back to it, you wish you had picked it up when you first saw it because you’ve gone x amount of days without a song in your life that you shouldn’t have… When I pressed play on Cleveland, Ohio native Laurin Talese‘s “Dead Precedence,” I was royally ashamed I hadn’t heard of her before because I instantly fell in love.

Under the wing of the ever so amazingly talented Adam Blackstone and his BASSic Black Entertainment (BBE) brand, Laurin moved to Philadelphia and has already worked alongside Jill Scott, Bilal and Vivian Green.

Now taking Jay-Z‘s “Dead Presidents,” she slows the ish down and jazzes it up, her voice floating effortlessly over a seductive groove – take a listen below. I already await her next offering.
