Kid Cudi talks G.O.O.D Music album and his impact on fans [Audio]

Kid Cudi recently stopped by Big Boy’s Neighborhood along with Dot Da Genius to talk about the forthcoming G.O.O.D Music album, working with Kanye and how his music impacts his fans.

There has been talk for months now about a G.O.O.D Music album which will include contributions from Kanye and Cudi as well as heavyweights like Common, Pusha T, Big Sean and John Legend, to name a few, but the camp has not actually released anything official yet. Speaking on the project, Cudi teased that some of the album was already done months back.

“Some of the G.O.O.D Music album was recorded before Watch The Throne was established,” he said. “G.O.O.D Music is a very strong force a lot of people need to start getting prepared for. Now that everyone’s got their projects out of the way, everybody’s focused on this.”

While talking about the album, Cudi also spoke about his an Kanye’s relationship, as well as a possible album collaboration between the pair. “Me and ‘Ye together? It’s a problem. I’d love to do a project with him at some point; I think that would drive people insane.”

Cudi also touched upon the impact he and his music have on his fans worldwide, speaking in particular about a fan named Ben Breedlove who tragically died from a heart problem after uploading a video on YouTube citing Kid Cudi as his favourite rapper.

Cudi recalls the first time he saw the video. “I was with my mum at the time. I got extremely emotional, my chest got warm. I couldnt believe, why me? I don’t feel worthy.”

Dot added, “It’s impactful. Seeing that video and seeing the music reach him and touch him is why we do this.”
