Kendrick Lamar has hit and passed the one-million mark in album sales of his highly revered debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city.

This marks a first official platinum album for Top Dawg Entertainment and first platinum album for Aftermath Entertainment since Eminem’s 2010 release, Recovery. good kid, m.A.A.d city jumped from #52 to #36 on Billboard 200 album sales chart selling 9k copies this week. Not unbelievable since every media outlet (large and small) covered his conservation-sparking “Control” verse.
Kudos to another victory for Kendrick Lamar and the TDE team! We’re all looking forward to the camp’s next release, Oxymoron, provided by ScHoolboy Q, later this year.
