Last week, we shared the trailer for Jay Z‘s Life + Times documentary on Top Dawg Entertainment. Today, we’re excited to share the full Made In America: TDE documentary, which follows the crew during their last leg of the Black Hippy tour.
The Life + Times team spent a month traveling and hanging out with Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul (not a bad gig!) as they gathered interview and concert footage. “Chasing one rapper is hard enough. But four across the west coast? Shiiiiiiiiit. It wasn’t easy,” tweeted Andreas Hale, who produced the short film. Interviews and concert shots were filmed in different areas in California and in Mesa, Arizona.
In the film, each member of the West Coast clique shared their story on how they joined TDE. They also took a trip down memory lane to give us insight on their situation prior to joining the crew. The interviews do a great job at furthering fans’ knowledge to understand and possibly relate to each individual or the entire group.
Check out the TDE documentary, below, which was filmed in support of the group’s upcoming appearance in the Made In America festival taking place in Philadelphia on September 1.
