Kendrick Lamar talks Gaga, ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’ + working with Dr. Dre [Video]

While in Chicago playing his new album good kid, m.A.A.d city at a listening session, Compton kid Kendrick Lamar took some time out to speak with Fake Shore Drive about what fans should expect from the project, and briefly explained Lady Gaga‘s surprise appearance at his Pitchfork Music Festival set.

“She came by to support me,” he said, “She’s good people, she loves good music.”

Told you it was brief.

As for the album, K-Dot confirmed that not only will it feature a beat or two from Dr. Dre, but also that the good doctor played a big part in helping the MC present his music the right way.

“He has a lot of involvement in the project,” Kendrick says, “as far understanding the format of how to construct everything and make it into a movie instead of just a few songs.”
