Ladies and gentlemen, Kendrick Lamar and The Neptunes have made some incredible music together. But I guess you might have already known that when this picture hit the net in August of last year.

Having kept us in the shadows for the past seven months, K-Dot finally served up a spoonful of that sweet, sweet sugar at SXSW this weekend by debuting a live performance of his Neptunes-produced, Buddy-featuring single, “Staircases.” It’s said to be one of six tracks that the trio crafted for Kendrick’s forthcoming Good Kid In a Mad City album during their sessions last year.

Even fighting through the poor video quality, it’s easy to appreciate how dope this sounds, and it certainly seems to gravitate towards that melodic sound Pharrell exhibited on In My Mind. As if the prospect of Mr. Lamar’s album wasn’t exciting enough…
