Kendrick Lamar announces ‘Good Kid in a Mad City’ release date | Music News

Kendrick Lamar has done his best to dodge the much-discussed topic of his debut album, tentatively titled Good Kid in a Mad City, in interviews these past few months, but earlier today, the Black Hippy shared some juicy details on his anticipated LP during his time on Power 106 radio. Kendrick finally announced the release date for his album, letting fans know they can expect the record to hit shelves on October 2nd.

Good Kid in a Mad City serves as the follow up to last year’s highly-acclaimed Section.80 project and is expected to feature both the Gunplay-featuring “Cartoon & Cereal” and the Dr. Dre-assisted “The Recipe” singles. The album will be distributed via Aftermath/Interscope/Top Dawg Ent.

Stay tuned for further details on Good Kid in a Mad City as they become available.
