Kanye West x Consequence – “Hold On” (J. Period Remix) | New Music

With Kanye West‘s blessing, mixtape DJ extraordinaire J.Period has put together a remix and unreleased tape full of G.O.O.D. Music material titled G.O.O.D. Music: Remixed & Unreleased. The first joint to drop online is the remix for “Hold On.”

Originally released as a song by Dwele – the song appeared on his 2004 LP Subject – the remixed version hears the reuniting of Kanye with Consequence. With no sign of Dwele, the track is lead by the two emcees. Blended as opposed to recording new verses, this might be one of the last times fans hear ‘Ye and Cons on a track together – the two emcees have been at the centre of a highly publicised beef, with Cons just a month ago still appearing to have issues with his ex-friend and label boss when airing out some dirty laundry on Power 105‘s Breakfast Club.

Regardless of the issues the two have, J.Period has done an excellent job remixing the record and giving fans of the College Dropout Kanye something new to bump.
