Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa + more to feature on RZA’s ‘The Man With The Iron Fists’ soundtrack | Music News

As if the cast for his upcoming Kung Fu film, The Man With The Iron Fists, wasn’t A-List already (Russell Crowe and Lucy Lui feature, while Eli Roth co-writes), RZA has recruited some big names for the accompanying soundtrack, too. In a recent interview with WIRED, the Wu-Tang chief, who wrote and directed the flick, revealed a number of the acts to feature on the eclectic soundtrack, listing off Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, The Black Keys, My Chemical Romance and more.

“It’s very diverse. You have music from Black Keys, music from Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, My Chemical Romance, rock and roll guys, as well as Sally Yeh, who does John Woo movies, a famous Chinese singer,” he said. “And then we’ve got my buddy Howard Drossin, he’s a trained musician, trained composer and we wrote a lot of different cues.”

Not only being graced with original music from these top names, but the soundtrack will also contain Wu-Tang Clan cuts, handed over by Sony, which RZA will re-orchestrate.

“One thing I think we did that was so cool for me was we went and got some of Wu-Tang’s original songs, the masters, Sony gave them to us to you, and we took out a lot of stuff that was in it and re-orchestrated it,” he detailed. “You’re going to have a great time listening to this movie as a soundtrack.”

The Man With The Iron Fists hits theatres November 2nd. Click here to watch the film trailer, and enjoy RZA’s interview below.
