Kanye West tops US charts with ‘Yeezus’, J. Cole’s ‘Born Sinner’ takes #2 spot | News


June 18th was a big week for Hip-Hop releases with Kanye West, J. Cole and Mac Miller all dropping LPs, among a few more names.

After claiming the numero uno position on the UK charts, Kanye West has also claimed the no.1 spot in the US with Yeezus, making this his fifth solo number one album. J. Cole comes in a close second with Born Sinner, with Mac Miller holding down the no.3 spot with Watching Movies With The Sound Off.

Kanye broke the 300k mark with estimated sales of 328,800 copies sold, with J. Cole’s LP a very close second with 297,922 copies sold, showing that the veterans aren’t untouchable as newer talents can still shift big numbers proving Cole’s theory in pushing his album up a week to share the release date with ‘Ye.

Mac Miller sold just over 100,000 copies, and Kelly Rowland joins the guys and finishes off at no.4 with Talk A Good Game.
