Kanye West enlists Daft Punk to work on his next album | News

While many ears are currently tuned in to what Daft Punk are about to do – thanks to a few teasers – word is that the French dance duo have been collaborating with Kanye West in preparation for his yet-titled upcoming new album.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, according to Daft Punk themselves, they’ve “laid down a combination of live and programmed drums” for Mr. West while he “worked out rough vocals on the fly.” Thomas Bangalter, one half of the electronic duo, also admitted that the dad-to-be is still on his screaming flex. “It was very raw: he was rapping – kind of screaming primally, actually. Kanye doesn’t give a fuck.”

Director Michel Gondry has also mentioned that Kanye recently played him “two songs” that sprang from the session. “One of them, I told him it sounded solid and powerful – I envisioned a cube when I heard it. He told me, Chris Cunningham’s already directing the video!”

This won’t be the first time Yeezy has hooked up with Daft Punk. Remember this? Of course you do.
