Justin Timberlake – “Cry Me a River” x “Ain’t No Sunshine” x “Over” Live In Concert (Video)
It’s been a minute since I’ve seen Justin Timberlake performing. I guess with the release of The Social Network movie (which I watched and immensely enjoyed yesterday) now is an ample time to send people a ‘reminder’. Watch this acoustic medley of “Cry Me A River”, “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Over”.
At the annual Justin Timberlake and Friends charity gig in Las Vegas on Saturday (Oct. 23), JT stars with a rendition of “Cry Me a River,” then segues into the Bill Withers classic “Ain’t No Sunshine,” then back into “Cry Me a River.” It’s completely lovely in an effortless sort of way.
Then Timberlake launches into Drake’s “Over,” on acoustic guitar, altering the lyrics;
“Don’t be pissed off I’m an actor / It’s not over (repeat) / And when I come back, I’m gonna come harder / I’m doing me.”

I’m really glad to see footage of JT playing his instruments more frequently. Maybe he’ll finally get the credibility he deserves. Before only those who went to his concerts knew he played. I found out through my sis. People couldn’t believe it when I’d tell them he’s an accomplished musician. IMHO he’s probably the only decent pop/R&B superstar around.
I like what he did with ‘Cry Me…’. He’s grown vocally, definitely. It’s an amazing song anyway but trying to reinterpret it proves he’s not resting on his laurels. There’s still some artistic hunger there…’Nuff respect. I wish he didn’t have to swear so much though :-9.
