Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era freestyle at a BBQ for Pitchfork’s Selector [Video]

In the latest edition of Pitchfork‘s “Selector” freestyle series, host Eavvon O’Neal has the task of dealing with Progressive Era, one of the largest and most talented collectives of Hip-Hop’s new generation. Lead by frontman Joey Bada$$, the crew speaks about redefining the distinctive sound New York was once known for with in-house producers such as Chuck Strangers and rappers like Bada$$ and Capital Steez.

It wasn’t long before the crew was given the customary choice of two instrumentals to rhyme over: Mean World by Stanley KubrixXX and Overdrive by Nick Wiz.

With each member in attendance spitting off the dome in a five-minute cypher, this episode is definitely worth watching.
