Jessy Wilson – ‘Heartbreaker’ | New Music

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jessy Wilson sets out on her own with her new single “Heartbreaker.” The slow-tempo, blues-influenced track sees Wilson at the end of her tether with a no-good partner and deciding to go on her way.

The Brooklyn-raised singer started her career as a backup singer for Alicia Keys and John Legend in 2006. Putting her songwriting skills into action, Wilson went on to co-write some of Legend’s notable songs including “Heaven,” “Save Room” and “P.D.A (We Just Don’t Care),” from his second album Once Again. Wilson received two Grammy nominations for her writing work on Fantasia‘s 2010 album Back To Me and Ledisi‘s 2011 project Pieces Of Me.

Now focusing on her solo material, Wilson is set to release her currently-untitled debut EP September 21st.
