Jessie J, Jay Sean, Tinchy Stryder x Fazer (N-Dubz): Young, Gifted & Brit

With British Black music experiencing somewhat of a renaissance in both the British singles and albums charts, Twin B caught up with four artists that have contributed massively to this successful run. Grime’s Tinchy Stryder, Fazer (of N-Dubz), Pop/R&B diva Jessie J and Cash Money recording artist Jay Sean discussed how they first got started, their initial steps into the industry and record label politricks (no typo).

Stryder talks about earning his first ever number one single and North-West London’s own, Jay Sean reveals being offered the chance to record “So Sick” long before Ne-Yo was signed, whilst Jessie J explains why she chose “Do It Like A Dude” for her first single, “even though I knew ‘Price Tag’ for me, personally, was more what I was about.”
