Jay-Z – “Public Service Announcement (Take 3)” (Paul Nice Remix) | New Music

Legendary turntablist DJ Paul Nice and Hip Hop blog/record label Slice-Of-Spice have come together once again for a new remix project. “Public Service Announcement (Take 3)” is an unreleased Jay-Z remix from 2004 by Paul Nice that was put together during the making of Paul’s famed Paul Nice vs. Jay-Z: The Unofficial Black Album Remix.

According to Paul, who had completed several remixes of every track from Hov’s Black Album, “This is the third remix I did for PSA (hence the subtitle ‘Take 3’), the first two making the finished album. After a few years, I went back and listened to ‘Take 3’ and immediately realized that this was not only the best of the PSA remixes, but probably the best of anything else I did on that project as well”.

Paul selected this track to be the first on his new label Sure Shot! and a part of the Sure Shot! Secret Series, which will see the release of some exclusive and unheard tracks, on limited edition vinyl. For all you crate diggers, Slice-of-Spice, who are executive producing and managing this project, and Sure Shot! records have put up 100 copies of a Special Edition Marbled Grey vinyl [see above] for sale which can now be purchased via Shot Shot!’s online store, for $20 (£12 according to the current exchange rate – 1 USD = 0.616542 GBP).
