Jay-Z, Kanye West, Beyonce, Swizz Beatz & more visit Watch The Throne pop-up store in New York

On August 8, Jay-Z and Kanye West pretty much shut down the music industry with the digital release of their collaborative album Watch The Throne. Now the Roc-a-Fella alumni aim to do the same on the streets of SoHo, New York with the creation of their Pop-Up store; constructed spaces created to increase awareness of products or events.

Located at 201 Mulberry Street the store, which is wrapped in the same gold artwork found on the album cover designed by Riccardo Tisci, contains the “customised” Maybach that appears in the Hov and Yeezy “Otis” video is on display, however fans are not permitted to take pictures nor video footage of the vehicle nor the rest of the store, as both camera phones and video cameras are banned inside.

On it’s second day of opening, fans have until 8pm ET tonight to visit the store or Sunday (August 14) between 11am and 6pm. Last night Mr. Carter, his better half Beyonce Knowles along with Kanye and producer Swizz Beatz, paid a visit to the store; see below for video footage and pictures…
