Jay-Z adds Drake, Run-DMC + more to Made In America lineup | Music News

As if the fact that Jay-Z was to curate the inaugral Made In America Festival didn’t make it a big enough of an event, the lineup certainly will. In addition to the already confirmed acts including Odd Future, Rita Ora, D’Angelo, Skrillex and Maybach Music (Rick Ross, Wale and Meek Mill), it has been announced that Drake, Jill Scott and newly-reformed iconic rap group Run-DMC will bless the festival.

Also added are rockers The Hives, Gary Clark Jr. and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, as well as Nicky Romero, Michael Woods, Otto Knows, Alesso, DJ Shadow and Burns. Although some might have presumed Hov to throw his hip-hop friends a rope for the two-day event, the rapper has sensibly gathered acts from the wide musical spectrum. As you can see in the poster above, rock, pop, indie, R&B, EDM and, of course, rap are all well represented.

Made In America will take place at Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklyn Parkway on September 1st and 2nd. Single day tickets go on sale this Friday (August 3rd).
