Jay Rock speaks on new album, Black Hippy, Kendrick’s ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’ + more [Video]

In a brief interview with Hip Hop Wired, TDE and Black Hippy representative Jay Rock talks about joining Kendrick Lamar and Ab-Soul on BET‘s forthcoming Music Matters tour, creating a new sound for his next project, as well as answering some inevitable questions about fellow crew member Kendrick Lamar‘s debut album, ‘Good Kid in A m.A.A.d City‘.

Rock also gives fans a glimmer of hope about the possibility of a Black Hippy album, in that, unlike Ab-Soul in an earlier interview, he refuses to rule it out completely. “You never know what might happen,” he explains. “Stuff just happens unexpected you gotta keep your ears and your eyes open and stay tuned you never know what we gonna do.”

Sounds very different to Ab-Soul’s prior resounding no, looks like we’ll have to wait and see. Check it out Jay Rock’s interview with Hip Hop Wired below.
