Fresh off of his upcoming debut album Boom Bap & Blues, which is actually a collaborative effort with producer Statik Selektah, New Yorker Jared Evan drops the head noddingly feel-good joint ‘Are We Almost There Yet?”

As a man who has been on the scene for a few years but is now just starting to get the recognition he deserves, his signature rapping melodies are somewhat of a delight. While Drake may be the man in the spotlight for doing the same thing, there’s something quite addictive about the way in which Evan drops his creativity.

With a self-confessed eclectic taste in music, Evan’s influences can be heard in everything he does. So with a new project that features the words boom bap in the title you know what to expect. Fans of KRS One, LL Cool J, and Public Enemy might appreciate the youngsters attempt at paying homage to a genre that paved the way for his creativity and passion.

Featuring the likes of Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, and Termanology, Boom Bap & Blues will be available as a free download on February 26th.
