Janelle Monáe covers David Bowie’s “Heroes” | New Music

Janelle Monáe is definitely not one to shy away from hard graft. Even though she hasn’t taken a moment off the road promoting her sophomore album effort The Electric Lady, which was released back in September, she has recently released “What Is Love”, the lead single from the Rio 2 movie soundtrack and today she unveils her take on David Bowie‘s 1977 release “Heroes”.

The Atlanta residing singer, songwriter, musician and rising icon delivers this impressive cover, which was birthed from the mutual respect both the British Pop Icon and our favourite android share for each other’s art, as part of Pepsi’s Now Is What You Make It campaign and you can listen to the track in all it’s glory below…
