J Scienide – “Bobby’s Theme” | New Music

North Carolina as a region is a hub for great hip-hop as evidenced by artists including Little Brother, 9th Wonder, J. Cole, Ski Beatz, Rapsody, Kooley High and now, up-and-coming MC/producer J Scienide.

Scienide’s influences, which include Rakim, Kool G Rap, Large Professor, and Public Enemy, run rampant throughout his music in everything from his delivery to his concepts.  The emcee who has lent verses and production to albums featuring artists like: Oddisee, Black Milk, MF Doom just to name a few, has released a few tracks this year, but is hoping to make a name for himself with his upcoming debut EP The Actual Heat.

Giving listeners a preview of the EP which is slated to be released in November, Scienide brings us “Bobby’s Theme”, a song which was inspired by a beat-challenge from a friend, pays homage to the old-school and proves the emcee to be a lyrical wordsmith.
