J. Cole takes Cole World to South Africa | Snapshots x Video

No stranger to huge, sold-out venues, J. Cole made his first appearance in South Africa performing for the excited, but slightly smaller, crowd before the launch of TV show Big Brother StarGame, the country’s version of Celebrity Big Brother. Taking in everything the country has to offer, Cole not only put on a performance but also made time to sight-see and check out the wildlife.

J. Cole began his South African takeover by performing his hit “Work Out” for the crowd who had anticipated his arrival. Talking to the host of the show, Cole says, “I am happy to be in Africa for the first time. I am also sad that we will not be here for as long as I would have loved to.”

Although only there for a short while, the rapper made the most of it, diving into the African surroundings, even throwing on a Dashiki top. Cole and his team went to visit some animals, getting up close and personal with a couple of lion cubs. He also took time out to visit Nelson Mandela Square to pose alongside the giant Nelson Mandela statue that stands there.
