J.Cole confirms joint album with Kendrick Lamar | Music News

J.Cole revealed some very exciting news in an interview with Bootleg Kev recently. Speaking on Las Vegas’ Hot 97.5, he confirmed a forthcoming album with fellow newbie Kendrick Lamar – something that’s been rumoured for some time now.

“I just started working with Kendrick the other day. We got it in, finally, again. [It’s gonna be an] album, man,” he said. “We actually worked, bouncing ideas, which was great. The vibe was so good that it was like, man, that’s absolutely gonna happen.

“We got maybe four or five [songs] together,” he added.

The pair’s collaborations are pretty slim, but having both featured on Trae Tha Truth‘s “I’m On 2.0” and with Cole producing Kendrick’s career-propelling “HiiiPoWeR”, the chemistry between the two is more than obvious.

In the interview with Bootleg Kev, the Cole World rapper also spoke on hitting the road with Drake as part of the Club Paradise tour, not making MTV’s “Hottest MCs In The Game” list, his sophomore album and more. Check it out below.
