J. Cole addresses debut album delays, new single coming soon; “There’s no more hold up” [Video]

Speaking in a Q&A at the BET Awards 2011 nominations special on 106 and Park [click here for the full list of nominees], North Carolina representing Roc Nation lyricist J. Cole addresses the delays surrounding the release of his widely anticipated debut album.

“Finally, there’s no more hold up… As of next week you’ll see me on fully fledged promo mode,” he announces.

“I stopped giving release dates after the first one because I saw quick, you never know…” he adds, clarifying the delay was caused by mulling over the right single to run with from the LP, but insists: “Now it’s time.”

Whilst Cole refuses to reveal the name of his next single yet, he did reveal that it samples one of his favourite albums that he listened to growing up.
