Wale visits House Studio in Washington DC [Video]

Earlier this month, Wale made the trip to his DC hometown to lend his celebrity to the reopening of the city’s historic Howard Theatre. The facility, which had been closed for over 30 years prior to the $29 million renovation, had helped launch the careers of the likes of Marvin Gaye and Ella Fitzgerald.

After performing to the large crowd on the night of its reopening, Wale hit up House Studio DC, where he laid down a few recordings before jetting off once again. Providing a visual recap of his visit, it sounds like the MMG rapper has more heat on the way.

“We thank Wale for his contributions to music and his dedication to the support of arts promotion in the Washington DC area. His actions show the essence of a true artist: helping to build his community, involving his art in the relevance of the times, and making his mark where it’s most needed. House Studio DC salutes you!” – House Studio DC
