It was just last month when Pusha T went on Hot 97 airwaves to announce August 7th as the release date of the hugely anticipated G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, Cruel Summer, but it looks like we’ll have to wait another month to cop the record. According to Pitchfork, Cruel Summer will hit shelves September 4th instead.

We’ve only had a taste of a portion of its material – namely via “Mercy” and the monstrous “New God Flow” – but already the album is shaping up to be pretty damn G.O.O.D. (sorry, I couldn’t help myself). We’ll keep you updated on more details on Cruel Summer as they become available.

In the meantime, be sure to read Complex‘s exclusive interview with G.O.O.D. Music, fresh to our screens today. The magazine’s EiC Noah Callahan-Bever can vouch for this new release date, too.
