Fabolous – “For The Love” | New Music

Fabolous’s latest release, “For The Love,” which will be featured on his upcoming mixtape The Soul Tape II, expresses the belief that everything is motivated by money, posing the rhetorical question, ‘Would you do it for the love?’

The single artwork, which depicts a young Barack and Michelle Obama embracing, seems to serve as a forewarning of Fab’s discussion of love on the track, produced by Streetrunner, whilst the views he spits cover a broader sense of passion in life as the Brooklyn native flows over a looped soul sample reminiscent of 1970’s funk, treating his listeners to his expected barrage of metaphors and similes which include the Dallas Mavericks, President Barack Obama, and Dee-Bo from Friday. Take a listen below.

The Soul Tape II will be released on November 22nd. Fab is also expected to release his next album, Loso’s Way 2: Rise to Power, sometime in 2013.
