Emeli Sande to be honoured for ‘innovation in music’ at Silver Clef Awards

Inspiring Scottish singer/songwriter Emeli Sande is to be honoured for “innovation in music” at The Silver Clef Awards, which takes place on the 29th of June.

The annual event raises money for charity Nordoff-Robbins which helps provide Music Therapy to helpless adults and children across the UK and the singer is an ambassador for the Scottish branch, with proceeds from her upcoming Glasgow show in November going directly to the cause.

“I am thrilled to be the recipient of this year’s ‘Innovation’ Award and would like to take this opportunity to shout out to the wonderful work of Nordoff Robbins in transforming lives through music therapy,” says Sande.

Other recipients at the awards will be Conor Maynard for Best Newcomer, Jessie J for British Best Act and Paul McCartney who will be awarded with Lifetime Achievement.
