Ed Sheeran makes highest charting debut by UK male in US chart with ‘+’ album

UK talent and your mother/father/girlfriend/little brother’s favourite Ed Sheeran has recently broken yet a few more milestones, with his quadruple platinum selling album + becoming the highest ever charting debut album by a UK male in the US charts.

This follows a year of massive UK success for Ed, having taken home a multitude of awards over the past year including two BRIT Awards for Best Breakthrough Act and Best Solo Male, as well as an Ivor Novello award for his songwriting and nominations for the MOBO awards.

Currently sat at number five on the Billboard Chart, this news comes in the wake of the album catapulting to the very top of the US chart days within release.

Ed is currently on tour in the US following his tryst as support act for Snowpatrol.
